Fall
Nature Quest, Friday, September 29 - Monday, October 2, 2006.
Many
of the "core" Nature Quest instructors will be on hand to lead tours
and seminars interpreting the Autumnal native plants, wildflowers, butterflies,
dragonflies, and birds of the River Region in our first annual Fall Nature
Quest. We also will have some wonderful new additions on native bees, native
plant gardening, and more--you're sure to enjoy! Native American Seed will be on
hand with their booth on Saturday so that you can get your spring meadow
started. Past participants will soon be receiving our festival mail out, and the
schedule will be posted on www.thcrr.com
website as soon as we confirm a few more things. As
part of the Uvalde County Sesquicentennial, the Fall Nature Quest seminars are
all FREE! We will have commemorative tote bags instead of t-shirts that I
know you will love. And, we have some special dinners planned. We've
been receiving rain in the hills, and the Fall should be absolutely beautiful.
THCRR will also be hosting the first annual Fall Fly Fishing Festival (F4)
during the same time, so bring your spouse, friends, neighbors, and children to
participate in one or the other! There's something for everyone in the River
Region. Visit http://www.thcrr.com/listings/index.cfm?catID=4¬ify=1 for
participating lodgings. If you haven't yet experienced a Fall in the River
Region, you are in for a treat! See
you with binoculars (or a fly rod) in hand! (800)
